Our ancestors lived much more from the land and forest. For the most part we tend to have sanitized, artificially heated, lit and created homes. There really is something about the use of natural, and also to some extent, recycled materials, which is very basic to our survival instincts. Maybe its part of a nesting instinct! Clients often would like colour introduced, but would not wish it to be overpowering, especially in a small space which has little or no natural light. We fulfilled this brief with pleasure recently in a practical glazing design for some doors.

When a client is wanting to improve the connection of their interior to the external space, we often use a flush set threshold design.
