This is a transformative addition to the north facing side of a conventional house. The project included opening up the ground floor living spaces. Bespoke rooflight solutions were used. Oak was a theme of this extension.

This was a major station refurbishment, which has been highly successful on a number of levels. Brunskill Design worked on the building and surrounding areas for more than a decade. Work ranged from a strategic planning level, through architectural interventions and conservation work, down to interior details.

This house is set within the Conservation Area. It is a brick built Victorian semidetached property. The design was developed with the use of spaces, the provision of daylight and the flow of circulation in mind. The brief to attract light into the interior was a key part of the design. The project involved a whole house refurbishment. We provided detail design services including energy saving insulation measures throughout.

This detached cottage is situated on a country lane within the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was listed in 1984 and was built in the 18th/19th century in plastered stone rubble. It has a thatched half-hipped and gable ended roof. The extension and refurbishment works were sensitive to the character of the cottage.

The house is not within a Conservation Area, however it sits within a prestigious residential area. A late 1920s house had already been extended on both sides. The previous extension had been plagued with repeated construction problems concerned with leakage and differential movement. At first floor level the house had fake timber frame applied to the existing extensions. The proposal was for a more substantially built rear extension. The form
