Brunskill Design in conjunction with Chambers Goodwin and Partners are pleased to have been commissioned to design a new 33 room hostel for the homeless in Hertfordshire by Dacorum Borough Council. The hostel will help men and women who have found themselves in need, often through difficult circumstances and no fault of their own.
Contractors are remodelling this Victorian detached house to Brunskill Architects designs, to enhance the living areas for a family. There will be a new loft conversion with wet room, the dormer is completed already. A small twisting ‘alternating’ spacesaving stair has been used. Opening ready to take sliding folding doors which are on site. Insulation, some of which you can see stacked in the south facing garden, is being added
Work has commenced on this site for 3 new apartments. Its a redevelopment of an EDF substation in a Conservation Area in a highly desirable commuter city. We achieved a hard won planning permission for this site. The site had been derelict and out of use for more than 5 years. We used specialist planning advisers (in house) to assist in tailoring the highly bespoke design to meet planning policy.
