Larger spaces are being carved out of this existing house. The flowing and versatile floorplan will be much better suited to family life. Hardwearing oak flooring and underfloor heating have been selected. The sliding folding doors will have flush thresholds to the patio. Some of the upper level rooms will be ‘vaulted’.
A fantastic view exists from this new kitchen extension, which we designed, to be complimentary to the existing early twentieth century building. The extension is to be finished in dressed bath stone with narrow hydraulic lime mortar joints. Each wall surface is hand finished by the craftsman involved to create a very good match to the existing building. Rooflights and oak windows are planned to arrive soon.
